Storigraphic × Hornsea®: a collaboration to celebrate

Our collaboration with Hornsea® has been one of the most rewarding projects we've taken on — a meeting of two design studios that we're proud to have seen through. We wanted to take a moment to celebrate it, and the Originals/Moderns collection it gave us.

When we began, Hornsea® gave us full access to their library of iconic pattern designs: fifty years of British design heritage, from a studio whose surface patterns were quite simply ahead of their time. We selected six patterns and worked each one twice over — as an 'Original', faithful to its first form but reimagined in 2D and in new colourways, and as a 'Modern', a fresh variation on the same idea. The result was the Originals/Moderns collection.

It began as a capsule paperware range and grew from there — into homeware, wallpapers and accessories. Designs to mix, match and live with, rather than simply admire. Collaborating with a brand we've long admired was, as we said at the outset, a dream come true. We're proud of what we made together, and grateful to everyone at Hornsea® for their trust and generosity throughout.

It's a happy chapter we're glad to have shared — and a lasting record of what two studios can make when they set out to reimagine something together.
